Main French airport: Paris Charles-de-Gaulle

CAUTION: few flights from Europe can land in Paris Orly, and low-cost flights will usually land in Beauvais (a city farther from Paris).

From there, there are several options to join the party, see below.

By PUBLIC TRANSPORT (TRAIN)

Closest train station: Quimperle / Lorient

CAUTION: don't confuse Quimperle with Quimper, it is also in Brittany but farther North-West...

In France, train network is managed by SNCF: https://en.voyages-sncf.com/en/

You can book your journey up to 3 months before the date. Cost and length will depend on where you start, and on how long before you book your ticket (the earlier the better, usually).

For those coming from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport:

Two ways to do: you can either take the TGV directly from the airport, in this case look for a journey from "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 - TGV" to "Lorient". Cost is around 75 € and trip length is from 4 to 6 hours.

You can also take the train from the Paris CBD train stations (usually Montparnasse), in that case look for a journey from "Paris (all station - FR)" to "Lorient". Cost is between 20 to 60 €, depending on time and options (flexible ticket...), and trip lenght is around 3 hours. From the airport to Paris, you will need to take the "RER B" (around 12 €) from the airport to Paris CBD. Depending on the train station the train leave from, you will need to change:

- At "St-Michel-Notre-Dame" for AUSTERLITZ train station, and take RER C.

- At "Denfert-Rochereau" for MONTPARNASSE train station, and take Metro line 6 to Charles-de-Gaulle-Etoile or Metro line 4 to Porte de Clignancourt.

This transfer can take 1h30, overall.

By (LONG DISTANCE) BUS

Closest bus station (gare routiere): Lorient

Different bus companies operate from Paris, usually CBD. Longer trip, but cheaper ticket, they usually have Wifi on board are leave from popular train or subway stations. You can check these 2 companies for instance:

OUIBUS: https://www.ouibus.com/

FLIXBUS: https://www.flixbus.com/

For those coming from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport:

To get to the meeting point (which depends on each company), you will need to check the RATP website: https://www.ratp.fr/en

This website gather all subways and RER trains in and around Paris: check from "Aeroport Charles de Gaulle" to where you need to take the bus.

By CARPOOLING (Covoiturage)
See Blablacar website: https://www.blablacar.fr/

you can check on the Blablacar website if you can find a journey between the airport and Brittany (look very carefully for the place of departure (if it's not the airport, ask the driver if he can pick you up there) and for the place of arrival (Lorient, Quimperle or Quimper are okay, if other cities, ask the driver to drop you off in Clohars-Carnoet or in Quimperle (Kervidanou)).
